1. “Will visitors be able to use my stairs normally?”
All KeepAble stair lifts are designed to be very slimline and feature folding seats, arm rests and foot rests.

These features ensure the stair lift does not take over your whole staircase and allow your visitors to get up and down your stairs with ease.

2. “How noisy is the stair lift?”
KeepAble stair lifts are almost silent when in operation, providing a quiet and relaxing journey without disturbing anyone else in the house.

3. “How will the stair lift be powered?”
All KeepAble stair lifts are battery powered and are charged through a DC power supply. When the stair lift is situated at a certain point on its track, it will constantly charge.

4. “Will the stair lift damage my décor?”
There will be no damage to your décor when your stair lift is installed. All KeepAble stair lifts attach to the stairs and not the wall.

5. “Will I be able to use my stair lift if there is a power cut?”
Yes; all KeepAble stair lifts run on a DC power supply so in the event of a power cut your stair lift will run on battery power, being able to carry out 10 up and 10 down journeys before requiring further charging.

6. “How will I learn how to operate the stair lift?”
After our trained engineers have installed your KeepAble stair lift, they will provide you with a full demonstration before they leave.

If you are unsure about any aspect of your stair lift you can refer to the stair lift user manual or speak to one of our expert advisors on 0800 019 8623.

7. “Who will be able to help me if my stair lift breaks down?”
In the unlikely event that your KeepAble stair lift breaks down, you can speak to one of our trained advisors anytime on 0800 019 8623.

Before you call, it is useful to take a look at your stair lift’s diagnostic display. This provides you with an error number which corresponds to a common stair lift error.

Providing our advisor with an error number will allow the most appropriate engineer to be sent out to assist you.

8. “I have arthritis in my hands and find it difficult to move my fingers; will I be able to operate my stair lift easily?”
KeepAble stair lifts are designed to be user-friendly and feature straightforward controls.

To move the stair lift along its track requires low pressure to be applied to a tiller control on the stair lift’s arm rest and no dextrous movements are required.

All KeepAble stair lifts come with a remote control which has 3 large, clear buttons, all of which require little pressure to operate.

9. “What if something gets in the way of my stairlift while it’s in operation?”
This is not a problem. All KeepAble stair lifts feature 7 safety edges which, if they come into contact with an obstruction while in motion, will activate a sensor and automatically halt the stair lift.

10. “If I accidentally leave my stairlift off its charge point will the battery run down?”
Some stair lifts, such as the 950 Series, do not allow you to leave your stair lift off charge, since there is a continual charge connection all along the track.

However, other stair lifts features intermittent charge points along the track and if you do not leave your stair lifts on one of these points a beeping noise will sound to alert you to move it.

11. “What would I do if the stair lift has been left downstairs but I’m upstairs?”
This is not a problem, since all KeepAble stair lifts come with at least two remote controls, allowing you to call your stairlift to you wherever it is on your staircase.
