1. Comfort
Tailor-made to suit you
At KeepAble stair lifts we understand that in order to enjoy your stair lift to the full you need to feel confident and comfortable; that’s no problem.
KeepAble stair lifts can be customised to make sure everything’s exactly the way you want it so you’ll always travel comfortably.
Choice of seat
When you customise your KeepAble stair lift you’ll have a choice of several seat types; perch, SpaceSaver and luxury.
Stair lift users who find bending their knees difficult will enjoy the option of the perch seat which allows the user to rest on a shorter length stair lift seat rather than struggling in and out of a normal seat.
The SpaceSaver stair lift seat features a slimline design and helps to keep even narrow staircases clear.
An extension of the regular SpaceSaver seat, the Non-Folding Seat (NFS) features a fixed, shortened and lowered stair lift seat to allow the more petite user to sit comfortably when travelling.
For a more modern edge, the luxury stair lift seat is an exceptionally stylish and comfortable design of seat.
A smooth journey
KeepAble stair lifts provide a relaxing way to travel up and down your stairs due to an almost silent mechanism.
All KeepAble stair lifts glide effortlessly along their tracks and come to a gentle halt when the journey is complete, ensuring you stay stress-free with every ride.
2. Easy access
Folding arm and foot rests
To allow the user to access their KeepAble stair lift with ease, the arm rests easily fold up - a useful feature if the user is transferring across from a seat or wheelchair.
All KeepAble stair lifts feature either a manual or powered folding foot rest to allow the user easy access.
Designed in conjunction with occupational therapists, the folding foot rest allows partially sighted users to back into their stair lift seat without worrying about tripping over the foot rest and falling backwards.
Swivel seat
Using its handy levers, the seat of a KeepAble stair lift easily swivels round to let you dismount safely. All KeepAble stair lifts have levers on both the left and right hand side of the seat to allow it to be swivelled and the mechanism can be manual or powered.
In the event of a power cut your stair lift seat will still swivel manually even if it’s fitted with the power swivel function.
3. A safe journey
Non-slip footrest carpet
Enjoy a sense of security when stepping on and off your KeepAble stair lift. All KeepAble stair lifts have footrests which are covered in a carpet grip to help you avoid slipping.
Secure seat belt
You’ll always travel securely on your KeepAble stair lift with a choice of seat belt styles.
You can choose from 3 designs - middle clasp, retractable and Velcro - to make sure every stair lift journey you make is comfortable and safe.
Key lock
Safely lock your stair lift when it’s not in use with this handy key lock function. When the key is not in the lock your stair lift cannot be used, ensuring the safety of children playing nearby and preventing the stair lift from starting to move before you’re safely seated.
Located underneath the stair lift’s arm rest, this is one of the most accessible locking devices currently available on the market.

And to help you stay safe, the key cannot be removed or fall out of the lock while the stair lift is in operation so you’ll never be left stranded on your staircase.
Folding hinged track
Eliminate trip hazards in your hallway and landing by folding away the end of your stair lift’s track at a convenient hinge point.
A powered hinge track is available with some KeepAble stair lifts; your stair lift will move to a charge point and fold up the track at the touch of a button.
Beeping alerts
So you always know what task your Keep Able stair lift is performing you’ll be alerted through a series of beeping sounds.
A helpful option for the visually impaired user, your stair lift will emit different frequencies and lengths of beeping noises so each activity can be identified with ease.
For example, if your stair lift has reached the end of its track it will beep once and for one second so that you know it’s time to dismount.
Safety edges
Feel reassured by your KeepAble stair lift’s 7 safety edges which detect obstructions to the stair lift’s journey.

If an obstacle is detected your stair lift will instantly come to a smooth halt and allow you to travel in the opposite direction and dismount safely.
Swivel safety cut-out
If your stair lift seat is in the swivel position the stair lift will not allow you to move up or down your stairs, since the safest travelling position is at right angles to your staircase.
Diagnostic display
In the unlikely event that your KeepAble stair lift encounters a fault you can rest assured that it will be brought to your attention by your stair lift’s diagnostic display.
Strong frame
KeepAble stair lifts can carry user weights of up to 25 stone, making them a reliable and safe choice for a relaxing ride.
4. Stress-free controls
Tiller control

Enjoy total control of your KeepAble stair lift with its simple tiller switch which can be mounted on either the left or right hand side of your stair lift, depending on individual preference.
The tiller requires little pressure to operate and can easily be operated with the back of the hand, making it suitable for those with arthritis of the hands.
Unlike many makes of stair lift, KeepAble tiller controls are situated at the end of the armrest so that the stair lift's arm rest can still be grasped for support when getting in and out of the seat.
Remote control
Call your KeepAble stair lift to you at the touch of a button using a handy remote control.
All KeepAble stair lifts come with at least 2 remotes so that you’re never stranded at one end of your staircase with your stair lift at the other, a great function for two or more stair lift users living together.
Your stair lift remote control has 3 large and clear push buttons which require little pressure to operate, even for those with poor vision.
5. Guaranteed power
Charging

All KeepAble stair lifts are powered by two batteries which charge up when the stair lift comes into contact with charge points along the its track.
Even in the event of a power cut, KeepAble stair lifts will still work since they run entirely on battery power so you’ll be able to get around as normal.
And on a fully charged battery a KeepAble stair lift will travel approximately 10 times up and down your staircase so you can get around as normal while your power’s off.
Sleep mode
All KeepAble stair lifts have a stress-saving ‘sleep’ function which saves battery power if your stair lift is left off charge for more than 5 minutes without being used.
*Please note that not all of the features listed are available with every type of KeepAble stair lift.
