The object of the Springer ferrule is to take the discomfort out of using a crutch.
When using conventional walking aids, the ferrule remains firmly on the ground creating an initial shock up the shaft of the crutch and putting stress on wrists, elbows, shoulders and back.
The Springer ferrule takes care of this by cushioning the impact.
The ferrule also revolves 360° so when making a turn it is no longer necessary to lift the crutch; the user just walks around it. This provides full support at all times, increasing confidence.
Easy to use, the Springer ferrule is simply attached to a 22mm crutch in place of the existing ferrule.
